These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rocco iOS application and related services operated by DigITup GmbH, Königsallee 27, 40212 Düsseldorf, Germany (“DigITup”, “we”, “us”).
By downloading or using Rocco, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Rocco helps you limit access to apps you choose, using Apple Screen Time / Family Controls APIs. You configure schedules (“door hours”), optional policies (including buddy / “second key” approvals), and related settings. Rocco is a productivity / self-control tool — not medical, therapeutic, or parental-control software for managing another person’s device as its primary purpose.
You must be able to enter a binding contract. The app is intended for adults managing their own Screen Time. See also our Privacy Policy regarding age.
Rocco is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of Apple services (including Sign in with Apple, In-App Purchases, and Screen Time permissions) is also subject to Apple’s terms. Apple is not a party to these Terms between you and DigITup, except where Apple’s terms say otherwise (for example regarding refunds processed by Apple).
Certain features may require Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple ID secure and for activity under your account.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Rocco on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial self-blocking use, subject to these Terms and App Store rules.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer (except where mandatory law allows), rent, or redistribute the app, or attempt to bypass Screen Time / licensing protections.
Optional “second key” flows let a person you choose approve temporary access. You are responsible for whom you ask and for messages you send with approval links. DigITup does not supervise buddy relationships and is not liable for a buddy’s decisions.
We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Screen Time behaviour depends on Apple’s platforms and your device settings. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We may update these Terms; continued use after the update constitutes acceptance unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Rocco is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Self-blocking can fail if permissions are revoked, iOS behaviour changes, or the device is modified.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or under the German Product Liability Act).
Otherwise, we are liable only for foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract in cases of slight negligence involving essential contractual duties. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data that you can restore from backups, or indirect damages, except as required by mandatory law.
Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN CISG. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply. Where legally allowed, courts in Düsseldorf have jurisdiction for disputes with merchants.
